ACMECS & Development Partners (DPs)

Established in 2003, the Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) unites five member countries—Myanmar, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Thailand, and Viet Nam—to bridge development gaps and support ASEAN integration. Guided by the ACMECS Master Plan, its focus lies on three pillars: Seamless Connectivity, Synchronized Economics, and Smart, Sustainable Growth. ACMECS collaborates with Development Partners, including Australia, China, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the United States, and New Zealand, to implement prioritized projects, connect regional frameworks, and support sustainable growth. Together, they are shaping a brighter, more connected future for the Mekong subregion.
